We only use Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to the extent that it helps you market services to your customers. We do not sell or share your information with anyone.

Carwash Blitz includes both SMS and email marketing, along with powerful automation tools that help you send the right message to the right customer at the right time.
Write to 90 characters and every message you send stays a single text, to every customer. You can use the full 160, but the very first message a customer ever receives from you carries a required compliance line that takes 70 characters — so a 160-character message counts as two on that first send.
- First message to a new customer: 90 characters
- Every message after that: 160 characters
- Each additional message, if you go longer: 153 characters
The message composer counts as you type, so you never have to do this by hand. It always assumes the compliance line, so it errs on the safe side — if it tells you a message costs two, it will still cost one for every customer who has heard from you before.
Almost never. The first text a given customer ever receives from you has a required opt-out line added: "STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. Msg & data rates apply." Every message after that goes out exactly as you wrote it.
If you include your own STOP and rates wording, we detect it and skip ours so it never appears twice.
When you bring a contact list over from another platform, the first compliance text those contacts receive is written and paid for by us. So is the reply when a customer texts HELP. Neither comes out of your monthly allowance.
A text is one message up to 160 characters — but only when every character is in the basic texting alphabet. Include a single character outside it and the whole message switches encoding, dropping the limit from 160 to 70. Not just that character: the entire message.
The most common culprits are curly “smart” quotes and apostrophes, long dashes, and emoji. This catches people out because phone keyboards, Microsoft Word and Google Docs all convert straight quotes into curly ones automatically as you type — so a message drafted in Word and pasted in can quietly cost twice as much without looking any different.
- Type directly into the Blitz composer, or a plain-text editor
- If you draft in Word or Google Docs, turn off smart quotes first
- Use a plain hyphen instead of a long dash
- Remember an emoji is charming, but it more than doubles the cost of a long message
